Leading up the logo reveal, UNO will ‘Piece Together the Privateer’ from July 9-17 on its official athletic department Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/UNOPrivateers each day at 12:30 p.m.

The new UNO athletic marks were designed by Joe Bosack & Co., a marketing agency noted for its ability to deliver unique, enduring and compelling brand identities for its clients.

The Pennsylvania-based agency has developed more than 80 identities for the nation’s top colleges and conferences including Boise State University, UNLV, Mississippi State University, Cornell University, the University of North Dakota, Iowa State University and Xavier University.

“We are proud to have worked with UNO to design a distinctive new athletics identity for the Privateers,” said Joe Bosack, founder and creative director, in a news release. “This logo reflects the aspirations and determination of UNO and its student-athletes combined with a classic New Orleans look and feel.”

Upon the launch of the new logo, an online store will be available at UNOPrivateers.com. The store will feature the largest online catalog of Privateer gear to date.
